Responsibilities for Software Developer:

​

• Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and requirements for software development & quality control.

• Design and develop new front-end experiences & interactions that meets and exceeds the needs of our loyal subscribers.

• Design and develop APIs, API integrations, and data integration processes.

• Write high-quality, testable code before it is formally introduced into production.

• Critically analyze problems to find the best solutions (or alternatives), and then translate these solutions into code.

• Communicate technical problems clearly and efficiently.

• Learn domain-specific knowledge about the freight & logistics industry.

• Ability to receive or present constructive feedback with the goal of improving performance. (Growth Mindset).

• Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions. (Growth Mindset)

 

Software Developer Qualifications:

​

• 3-5 years of experience developing and implementing software applications.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

• Experience working on large, customer-facing software projects; and mid-to-large sized databases.

• Experience with various object-orientated programming languages.

• Experience with the following technologies & frameworks: JavaScript, NodeJS, Angular, Express, HTML, REST APIs, MongoDB, Kubernetes, GIT.

• Strong collaboration & communication skills working with other developers, and occasionally non-technical customers or team-members.

• Strong analysis & debugging skills – analyzing code for weaknesses, or errors, and creating a plan to correct or improve them.

• Any statistical background is a strong plus.
